Our Statement of Faith
We
believe the Bible to be the inspired, inerrant, only infallible,
authoritative word of God.
We
believe there is one God eternally existent in the persons of
Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We
believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth,
His sinless life, His miracles, His vicarious death through His
shed blood, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right
hand of the Father, His personal return in power and Glory.
We
believe for salvation of lost and sinful man, regeneration by
the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.
We
believe salvation is provided by Grace alone and is received by
faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
We
believe every true believer, born of the Spirit, can have full
assurance of salvation, and is eternally secure in Christ.
We
believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus
Christ.
We
believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose
indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.
We
believe God has ordained the local church for the perpetuation
of His truth and work in the world.
The Ebenezer Academy exists by
God's Grace and For His Glory.
We endeavor to provide
opportunities for students to excel in their desire to grow in
wisdom, and stature, and in favor with God and man.
- We believe that each child
is a unique an precious gift from God. It is our
desire to help each child to find and be prepared to take
his/her unique, God appointed place in society.
- We believe that each child
is created in the image of a triune God, and we endeavor to
nurture the mind, body and spirit of each student and
teacher at the Academy.
- Our desire is to graduate
students who are ready to take their place in society as
informed and active citizens of the United States. We
emphasize the need for self government to function in a free
society. Service to others is an integral part of our
curriculum.
- We believe that learning is
a natural function of people, and especially of children.
It is what God has designed them to do. We desire to
rekindle the love of learning that is present in very young
children and often absent in older students. Each teacher
is an active, passionate learner, and is constantly
demonstrating that love to the students.

Bible Based Education At the
Academy, the Bible is the ultimate text for determining truth.
We teach Bible at each level, first learning the stories of the
Bible and then teaching the process of studying the Bible for
personal growth in the student's relationship with God. Students are encouraged to develop a habit of Bible
reading and study.
It is our desire as a staff to
see each student surrender his life to Jesus Christ in a saving
relationship. We believe that the dual tools of Bible Study and
prayer are the means for accomplishing this goal in God's time.
We, therefore pray for our students daily and at each
opportunity presented to us throughout the day.

About the Academy For over eight
years, the staff and congregation of Ebenezer Baptist Church
have sought God's leading concerning opening the facilities of
the church to the families in our community. In the fall
of 2001, the church began moving toward the possibility of providing
first-rate childcare, after school care, summer programming, and
other ministries to students in our area. In early 2002,
the church voted to pursue the Ebenezer Academy.
The Academy opened in the fall
of 2002, and by the academic year's end over 35 students in
grades K4 - 11 were served. The 2007-2008 term will be our
6th
year. Returning students will be in grades K-4 through 12.
It is our prayer that the Lord will continue to bless in the
future as He has in the past.
The Academy is open to new
students from K4 - seventh grade. School hours are from
8:00AM until 3:00PM. Hours for the K4 students are from
8:00AM until 11:00AM.
Our foundation at the Academy is
the life and ministry of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
We believe that education devoid of the principles of our faith
is not education at all. In fact, it is mere deception.
With that concept in our hearts, we have concluded that a Bible
based education offers the best opportunities for our students.
At the Academy, students are taught more than what to "know."
They are given the opportunity to learn how to think. Our
curriculum gives the student time to master the "basics", and
then to apply them to their further studies. A student
graduating from the Academy will have completed more than the
state minimum requirements in all academic areas, and been
challenged spiritually and socially.
