Ebenezer Academy is a small Private Christian School located in Travelers Rest, SC. We are a ministry of the Ebenezer Baptist Church. Students in Kindergarten, Elementary School, Middle School and High School are all welcomed. We exist by God's Grace and for His Glory.
- We endeavor to provide opportunities for students to excel in their desire to grow in wisdom, in stature, and in favor with God and man.
- We believe that each child is a unique and precious gift from God. It is our desire to help each to find, and be prepared to take his/her unique, God appointed place in society.
- We believe that each child is created in the image of a triune God, and we endeavor to nurture the mind, body, and spirit of each student and teacher at the Academy.
- Our desire is to graduate students who are ready to take their place in society as informed and active citizens of the United States. We emphasize the need for self-government to function in a free society.
- We believe that it is the duty of Christians to care for the needs of those who are unable to care for their own needs. We therefore encourage service to others as an integral part of our curriculum.
- We believe that learning is a natural function of people, and especially of children. It is what God has designed them to do. We desire to nurture that love in our students, and rekindle it in the student who seems to have lost the joy of learning. Each teacher is an active and passionate learner, and is constantly demonstrating that love to the students.
Bible Based Education
Since the Spiritual condition of individuals at the Academy is of utmost importance in reaching our goals, we use the Bible as the ultimate text for determining truth. We teach Bible at each level, first learning the stories of the Bible and then learning the process of studying the Bible for personal growth in the student's relationship with God. All students and staff are required to memorize Scripture on a regular basis.
Our Statement of Faith
We believe the Bible to be the inspired, inerrant, only infallibe, authoritative Word of God.
We believe there is one God eternally existent in the persons of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His vicarious death through His shed blood, His bodily reusrrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His personal return in power and Glory.
We believe for salvation oflost and sinful man, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.
We believe salvation is provided by Grace alone and is received by faith alone in the Lord Jesus Christ.
We believe every true believer, born of the Spirit, can have full assurance of salvation, and is eternally secure in Christ.
We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.
We believe God has ordained the local church for the perpetuation of His truth and work in the world.
